Apimaye is more than a beekeeping brand — it is the result of a decades-long journey rooted in craftsmanship, family values, and a deep belief in the miracle of the bee. Our story began in 1974, when our founder Muzaffer Yıldırım established Yıldırım Plastik in Istanbul. With a spirit of innovation and hard work, the company evolved from a small workshop into a respected manufacturer across various industries. But it was in 2009 that our path transformed — when we turned our focus to apiculture.
Our New Path
A Journey into Beekeeping
Inspired by the idea of polymer beekeeping frames seen abroad, we began questioning how we could contribute to a more sustainable, hygienic, and efficient way of beekeeping. Listening closely to the real needs of beekeepers, we combined traditional know-how with modern engineering. The result was Apimaye — a new generation of hives designed to serve both bees and beekeepers, responsibly and intelligently.

When I first began working with bees and building hives, I never imagined Apimaye would grow into a company trusted by beekeepers across the world. What started as a small idea — to make life easier for the beekeeper and healthier for the bees — has become a lifelong journey.
Beekeeping is not only a profession; it is a responsibility to nature and future generations. Every hive we produce carries this belief: that innovation should serve both the beekeeper and the bee, that sustainability must guide every step, and that respect for nature is the foundation of lasting success.
I am humbled by the trust of beekeepers in more than 50 countries who use our hives today. Their feedback, challenges, and passion inspire us to keep improving. Like the bees themselves, we know that progress comes from working together, each contribution, no matter how small, adds up to something greater.
